I can’t tell you how much I am in love with this Wood Floor die from Penny Black. This can be a floor but also a table. I am working on a lot of dog cards because I have an event this weekend at a winery and the event is around a “Mutts and Mirmosas” theme. Don’t you just love funny cards? These were fun!
As you can tell in the following photos, I used different Oxide inks to create different colors of floor(all supplies listed below). The technique I like the best is just rubbing the oxide ink pad direct to paper, “with the grain.” This leaves the grooves on the die cut the same color as the paper. I used a variety of printed paper but the fun bold stripes from the card above is listed below.
This wood floor all started out with Oatmeal Cookie cardstock, changed with distress oxide ink. Don’t you think this could make a cute table too? The baseboard can be removed to be a table, it is a separate die piece, or it could be the edge of a table. So many different looks can be created with this “MUST HAVE” die. Be on the lookout for a card in the future using this die as a table.
