This fun Layered Cupcake card is another amazing layered stamp set from Altenew. It is a quick and easy way to create a fun birthday card. Remember that most Altenew stamp sets also have matching dies. Altenew has a great variety of shades in each ink color family. I think this really makes the layer stamping simple. I thought it was a cute idea to add a cupcake to the envelope.
Adding the Sparkle Cuts on the cupcake make it look like sprinkles on the cupcake. I mean who doesn’t love a cupcake with sprinkles? Fun Stampers Journey has Sparkle Dust and Sparkle Cuts. I tend to lean towards the Sparkle Cuts. I like the chunkier look.
I think I may take a variety of colors and make different cupcakes. Maybe Red Velvet? Yummmm.
As you can see, I added the polka dots in different sizes from the stamp set. I decided to emboss on top of it to add another layer of depth. I always think embossing with an embossing folder adds so much to a card. I think next I will find some printer paper and match the cupcake to it for some “on-hand” birthday cards.
