Creating a Paper Storage for 6″ x 6″ DSP

August 30, 2020 2 Comments

Creating a Paper Storage for the 6″ x 6″ DSP paper was a fantastic idea that I saw done by Karin de Laat from the Netherlands.  When I saw her mention the paper storage I just knew I had to give it a try.  I was asked by a viewer to show how I created my 6″ x 6″ storage.

Be sure to keep the paper information to add to the back of your box so you can look up the colors that coordinate with the 6 x 6 dsp.

What do you need?

1 – 12 x 12” cardboard*
1 – 6 x 6 “ DSP (I used Flowers for Every Season for this example)
2 – solid cardstock pieces 8 ½ x 11” (I used Misty Moonlight for this example)

*Using cardboard from the backings of foil paper or any other product that Stampin Up has with a cardboard backing works great.

Measurements

BACK PIECE

card stock 7½” x 8¼”
with the 7½” side top, score at ⅝” and 6⅞”
with the 8¼” side top, score at ⅝” and 7¼”
along the 8¼” side put a small tick mark at 5¾”

FRONT PIECE

card stock 7½” x 6 ¼”
with the 7½” side top, score at ⅝” and 6⅞”
with the 6¼” side top, score at ⅝” and 5¾”

CARDBOARD PANELS

Back Panel  –  6″ x 6½”
Front Panel – 6″ x 5″

DSP DECORATIVE PANELS

A piece of 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper, cut at 4⅞”x 6″. The strip goes on the back, the other piece on the front

Directions

BACK PANEL

Fold and burnish all score lines.

Along the bottom, wedge your corners off.  Larger score is the top.

Wedge at indention and cut corner piece (see photo below).

FRONT PANEL

Larger edge is on the bottom.

Wedge the plans and the top folding.

      Hi Linda

If you click on the red words that say 6 x 6 storage boxes, that is the PDF file link. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
