Always in My Heart and Beautiful Brushstrokes

December 27, 2020 Leave a Comment

This Always in My Heart and Beautiful Brushstrokes card has some really fun and easy techniques.

Measurements and Tips

Use the Beautiful Brushstroke large die to cut a background.
I used my Versamark ink pad and pounced it onto the die image randomly, then added the Gilded Leafing.

Add this die image on top of the polka-dot DSP paper from True Love DSP with multi purpose glue.  Cut off the piece that you can see.  You only want the DSP to be behind the die cut image.  This image ends up at 3 3/4″ x 4 1/2″.

Trim the right and left side down just a bit so I could add the Real Red cardstock as a border.  Cutting it down allows for a little more black to be seen along the sides.  Use the sliver of black cardstock and gilded foil pieces that you cut off for the inside of the card, along with your DSP piece.

The heart is cut from the Love You Always Foil Sheets and then colored with the dark Real Red Stampin’ Blend.  This give us the metallic red foil we love so much from the holiday catalog.

The sentiment banner is from the Always in my Heart bundle.  If you bend the sentiment a bit while putting it onto the acrylic block you can curve the words just right to align it on the banner.  Fold it on the score marks so it adds that 3D look before adhering it.

I absolutely love the border hearts in the Many Hearts Die set.  Cut out a strip with Real Red cardstock and adhere it to the bottom to fill the voided area below the brushstrokes image.
