Impossible Box Large and Small

January 26, 2021 Leave a Comment

I created a small Impossible Box that I found from Craft N Canvas in 2019.  I’ve been trying to look back through my “recipe patterns” and finding some gems.  I recently needed these for a gift but wanted to create a larger version and added a fun little matching 3″ x 3″ card.

Measurement

Here is a PDF for the Impossible Boxes Large and Small.

This is written on the PDF but I want to emphasis adding a 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ insert inside the box to make the box stronger.  You also need to add it to the bottom of the box to give it a nice finish look but also to cover up the small hole.  Until I figure out the correct size to make the hole disappear, this is my fix for now but I actually really like the look of the solid piece on the bottom.  You could shorten the box up some but I wanted the 4″ x 4″ size box.

When doing 3D projects, I highly recommend having a Simply Score Board.

If you are not familiar with the Impossible Box, the lid is attached and the box opens from the top.

Here is a diagram of what the box should look like when you are done scoring and cutting.  The pink is the smaller box.

Add your DSP and layered papers.
