The Playful Pets Suite is a must have because this set has both cats and dogs and who doesn’t love cats and dogs, right? I created this fun card for my son and daughter-in-law for their anniversary because their “fur baby” is a schnauzer.
As I mentioned before, I am trying to use more Designer Series Paper (DSP) this year. I can’t believe that I haven’t used it a lot in the past because it really makes a card!
The Playful Pets DSP has so many amazing images to create some really fun cards.
There is a schnauzer dog sitting up and looking to the right and to the left. The technique I used was the “reverse” technique. When trying this technique with just ink, it just dried too fast and didn’t transfer very well so I used VersaMark.
Technique
To create your reverse image, stamp the image onto a window sheet using Versamark. Quickly flip the image over and rub it onto your whisper white cardstock. Once you have done this you should immediately emboss it. Whola, you have a reversed image!
If you look closely, the dogs are standing on a cement looking ground with a stone baseboard 🙂 This was created by the amazing paper from the In Good Taste DSP and is a fantastic pack that contains a lot of textures and backgrounds.
The happy die and the anniversary sentiment are both from the Well Said stamp set and the Well Written dies which are a great pair to use together. If you look closely you can see the adorable little Playful Pets trinkets on the dogs necks. I used glue dots to adhere them down, along with a string and bow.
I’m looking forward to creating more fun cards with this set and I hope you will too. Thanks for stopping by.
