When I purchased this die set I decided to make a variety of these cards in different colors without sentiments. Tonight I needed a quick card to take with me out of town. I grabbed this beauty and added a sentiment. With a lot of these cards I decided to use the splashes and color the cardstock to add some distress look. I also did some other flowers with just cardstock. I think the Frilly Frames Lattice adds so much and I think I will be using it a lot more!
The tissue on the birthday card was a white tissue with a texture to it. Something I just had in my stock. The vellum on the right was a colored vellum but I think a regular vellum could easily be colored with alcohol ink or even PanPastel.
The sentiment on the right is the Simple Strips Background by Taylored Expressions. The matching die is the Simple Strips Die.
The Altenew Peony Dream 3D Die set has a legend on the back to show you what shades of colors to use (light, darker, darkest, etc.). This legend is a very helpful tool to keep with your die set. Many of the Altenew stamp sets have this tool. The photo below just gives you an idea of what this legend looks like.
These are a great card to have on hand and add a quick sentiment to. All of the supplies I used are listed below. Please feel free to ask me any questions.

Thank you! I think I am going to use that same background on another non-flower card. I really like it! Now onto Christmas cards… eeek!!
