This Shimmer Vellum Poppy Moments card was so much fun to create. There are 25 die cuts on this card, can you believe that? Once I saw this gorgeous Shimmer Vellum I knew I wanted to create some die cut images with them and the Poppy Moments dies were perfect.
Helpful Tips
Although this seems like a lot of die cutting, they were very simple to die cut and you could die cut two sheets at a time, maybe more but I just did two sheets. Of course I thought of this 3/4 way through my cards.
I used the gorgeous black and white DSP from the Host Patten Party DSP. I used the Very Versailles stamp set for the Basic White panel. Stamp the script image with Gray Granite ink and the leaves with Soft Succulent ink. To tie in the Gray Granite script stamping I added a Gray Granite cardstock for the base.
To really finish the card and make it shine is the Gold and Rose Gold Metallic cardstock. I used the Gold for the top layer of the poppies. Don’t miss my tip for gluing all of the vellum items. It really makes the project easier.
The pictures don’t do this card justice. The shimmer is so gorgeous. I hope you will give this a try. The one tip I would definitely do is also cut a Basic White cardstock solid poppy die to adhere under the Fresh Freesia. The vellum is thin and I didn’t want to see the stems behind the main focus so adding the Basic White cardstock solved that problem.
As you can see, I made a few of these cards. I prefer to do my crafting in assembly line fashion.
