This video is another “switch it up” video. I love to switch stamp sets up and show them used in a different way. Here I take a Stampin’ Up Christmas die set and turn it into a birthday card.
I love when you can layer words up with a slightly larger background die. Words of Cheer has this great “happy” die that layers and is perfect for a fun Happy Birthday card. If you die cut the background die in black and trim off the sprigs, you can create just a simple Happy background.
I used the Artistically Inked stamp set and created a fun colorful DSP which I took the Happy word die (shown above) and cut it out of this colorful DSP. I created the DSP with the arched image using different colors. The colors are Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo, Magenta Madness, Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight. I popped up these die cuts onto a Basic White panel embossed with the Brick and Mortar embossing folder.
Don’t forget on the inside to add a splash of color. While you are using the Artistically Inked stamp, restamp it after your DSP stamp from each color and add it to the bottom of the inside panel piece.
When I stamp the Birthday from the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Artistically Inked set, I use an Uninked Stampin’ Spot with Memento refill on it to ink up small images. In this case, I am only stamping one word. It helps from getting ink onto the next word. I do the same with other colors. It is super helpful with small images. It also helps from getting ink on your Stamparatus.

Here’s a sneak peek of our projects. Each person’s kits will have 88 die cut pieces in it. WOW!!!!! This has been quite the project. I can’t wait for you to see the kit.
