Oh my have I got an easy card for you! I saw this card on Stamp Junkies and just had to give it a try. Start with a sheet of watercolor paper and blend a variety of distress ink colors onto the card. Because you are going to use the die to cut this piece, the blending isn’t crucial to get a super smooth look. I linked the bundle because it is cheaper and you really want both dies. The second die you would use for the outline on top.
Using the black cardstock really makes the color pop. Spritzing water and dabbing it off gives it that distress look. Splattering a little Silk on each card gives it another layer of distress. I love the black splatter the best.
The second card I did I used the Unity Autumn Dream printed paper. These cards are super fast and easy but give a WOW factor.
For the sentiments, I used the Taylored Expressions Simple Strips and die. I love that these can be stamped and die cut all at the same time. I hope you will give this technique a try.
Side note: A few people are having issues with the email notification of my blog. Apparently some browsers are having issues and bring the email in very large. Please just click on the link at the top of the email and it will take you directly to my blog and you can see it in a regular size. I apologize. We are working on finding a different service to not have that problem. Thank you
