Love You to Pieces

January 15, 2020 3 Comments

I really had fun creating this Love You to Pieces card from Concord & 9th.  There are so many options and I will show you several.  With the first card, I first cut the die in black for the outline.  This was my template to help me place the letters on a plain white cardstock.  Choose your 4 colors that you want to do your letters with.  I chose a gold emboss as my “O”.  Once your letters are all stamped (and embossed) you can now die cut the letters.

Be careful, you will have some tiny pieces you don’t want to lose.  I turned the black outline over and placed all of the pieces in and just added a little white liner tape here and there to hold the pieces in place.  Once your pieces are in place, I used the Nuvo Deluxe adhesive (my favorite for tiny pieces) to glue the pieces and outline to adhere to your front panel.

The Love You to Pieces stamp and die bundle also has this cute banner with a couple of sayings.  This is where I used my favorite Versafine Clair black ink pad.  The black just comes out super crisp and so easy to stamp with.  The background is a turnabout from Concord & 9th.  If you know anything about the turnabout stamps, you know that they are created to align four different stamping images or colors to create a fantastic background.

You can tell that my background is not lined up and I am perfectly okay with that. The stamping is still far enough apart to still have a fun background that doesn’t look messy.  I have done it where it works perfectly and let me tell you the difference.  When I created this background I was creating multiples on my Misti.  When I did one at a time it really works much better in my opinion.

Here are a few other designs I did.  When you cut out your colored letters, you will have a fun colored outline of the word LOVE.  This makes a card (shown on top of the picture below)!  Another idea I did is not cut the letters out, but cut around them.  Snip the few little overlayed black pieces and make the letters whole.  Just glue that down over your stamped letters.

Below is a picture from Concord & 9th showing some of the different ideas you can do with this bundle.

The supplies are listed below for these cards.  If you have any questions, please let me know.  Thanks for stopping by.
