I had so much fun creating this Geared Up Garage birthday card. I wanted to grunge it up a bit and add some color so get ready for some fun techniques.
Measurements
Misty Moonlight card base measures 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Silver (yes Silver) foil measures 4″ x 5 1/2″, embossed with the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder. Remember to cut the center of the rectangle out with the large cluster of gears from the Garage Gear dies.
Cinnamon Cider is the top panel cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″ and embossed with the Old World Paper embossing folder.
Cut out the emblem with the silver foil also, stamp the Itty Bitty Greetings sentiment, here Happy Birthday, and add it to the center of the emblem.
Stamp the car and color it with light Smokey Slate and light and dark Misty Moonlight.
Technique
The technique we did on the Silver Foil paper is with the Stampin’ Blends listed below. Just randomly color the foil, let dry and repeat. Use the ivory and basic gray to tone down the bright metallic image. Remember that alcohol inks move alcohol inks. So tread lightly. Check out the video and you can see the way I did it.
