Christmas Gleaming and a 3D project

July 14, 2020 Leave a Comment

The Christmas Gleaming Bundle is a returning bundle but not for me.  Brightly Gleaming DSP creates the most gorgeous ornament cards with some fun metallic prints.  The Star card was created with the Gorgeous Gold Cards and Envelopes.  These will be available on August 4th from our new Holiday catalog.  Stitched Star Dies were used on the star card and the 3D bag.

Stitched Rectangle Dies are a staple and perfect to create a fun sentiment layer trimmed with our Copper, Brass or Gold Foil Paper.

The 3D bag I saw created last year by Sam Hammond Donald, PootlesPaperCraft, from the UK.   I have done many variations of this bag but I really liked the idea of cutting up strips of paper to add as a filler.  I didn’t have the same foil elements that she used but the Stitched Stars are a gorgeous addition to this project.

Bag Instructions:

  • Paper – 9.5 x 6″ (24 x 15 cm)
  • Score on the LONG side at 1.5, 4.5, 6, 9″ (4, 11.5, 15.5, 23 cm)
  • Score on SHORT side at 1.5″ (4 cm)
  • Foil Panel is cut to 2 x 3.5″ (5 x 9 cm)
  • Finished Dimensions – 1.5 x 3 x 4.5″ (4 x 7.5 x 11.5 cm)

I think adding a gift card or a cute little something in the bag along with the card makes an awesome set to give someone.

In the video below (on my blog) shows in details some other little tips and tricks to trimming the tabs, etc.

In the photo above you can see the gorgeous gold envelope that matches the gold trimmed card.  Cut the DSP panel to 5″ x 3.75″.  I used a 1/2″ circle punch to cut the corners out so the gold trim can be seen.  I also added the gorgeous DSP to a Very Vanilla envelope to finish off the card.
