Joy Christmas Card

August 18, 2019 4 Comments

Spellbinders revealed their new holiday products so I created this Joy Christmas Card.   I wanted to add a pop of gold so I used the Distress Harlequin Background stamp from Rubbernecker Stamps and embossed it. I used a pattern paper to create the letters.  Next time I want to try it in gold.  I decided to do the background of the die in a darker green and cut the leaves in the same and also a lighter shade to layer onto the larger die piece.  I am adding a photo of the dies so you can see the individual dies.

You could die cut the berries or you can also use that die to die cut a yellow piece for the center of the flowers.  I decided to add the Fashion Gold Embellishments to the flower centers to tie in the gold background.   I chose to use the Nuvo Merry & Bright to dab onto the tips of the greenery instead of paper.  When creating a Christmas card, you just can’t go wrong when you use the So Plaid ribbon from Fun Stampers Journey.

This card was quick and easy.  Everything is layered with glue and only the JOY sentiment is popped up with foam squares.  The supplies I used are below.  Here are a few more photos of examples from Spellbinders.  So many possibilities.

Saw your red and white striped JOY on an evergreen swag on Pinterest. Loved it. Gonna work it into my Christmas card rotation this year. Thanks so much.

I love your JOY card with the raccoon! Can you tell me what color paper you used to cut the basic die?
    Thanks

Hi Suzanne. That was just an example that the company had for that die. I have no idea what they used. Maybe click the link to the die and look below in the description and follow it. Maybe they have it on Pinterest or something. Good luck.
