Peaceful Boughs Matched Up with the Gold Cards & Envelopes

November 15, 2020 Leave a Comment

The Peaceful Boughs matched up with the Gold Cards & Envelopes creates an elegant card that is easy to layer to create a more realistic look.

I like the labels in the Beautiful Boughs Dies set.  They are unique to many of the other label dies.

Instructions

Pinecones

Stamp the pinecones in Early Espresso on Crumb Cake and die cut them out.
Die cut the top layer in Crumb Cake and use a blending brush to put some Soft Suede ink on to them to darken them.
Layer the pinecones.

Pines and Branches

Die cut all three Pines and Branches dies out in Soft Suede and leave them whole.  In the video I used Crumb Cake and then blended the branches with Soft Suede.  Either way works fine.
Die cut the Pines and Branches out of Mossy Meadow.  Take the smallest branch and stamp the pines with Mossy Meadow ink.  This just adds some texture to pines and gives it a more realistic look.   Snip the pines off and adhere them to the top of the Soft Suede branch cut out.

The label is cut from Crumb Cake cardstock and embossed in gold.  I used the blending brush to blend Soft Suede ink around the outside of the label.  In the video I used Black Memento Ink to change it up.

Both cards I added the Real Red Double Stitched Satin Ribbon to give it that pop of Christmas.

As you can tell, the card is fairly easy.  I always like trying to add that little extra touch to give the card more detail.  For example, I could add a panel of Very Vanilla on this card… and emboss it.  Then layer all of the pieces on top of it.  That would step the card up even more.
