I LOVE making Christmas cards and the Snow Globe Scenes die set is so fun to work with. Creating and layering a scene with the Still Scenes stamp set creates a fun winter wonderland. This card was CASED from the catalog (page 59), well most of it
The back layer is the largest circle in the Stitched Shapes Dies. I used a dauber and Pool Party to brush a little color on the background. The next layer is the three trees die cut with Shimmer Whisper White cardstock and I used the Snow Front stamp set trees to add color to the die cut. I colored the cabin with blends and layered it on as the front layer.
Because this image is not adhered under a card base, a circle with the globe die must be adhered to the top to cover the adhesive from the dome. There may be a little trimming around the circle and dome for it to match up. I will show you this on the video shown on my blog. Start at 1:00 minute. There were a little sound issues.
I added some Dazzling Diamonds inside the globe to give the appearance of snow. Add a little Wink of Stella to the rooftop and trees to add a little more sparkle. I mean who doesn’t want more sparkle, right?
Tie a pretty triple bow using the ribbon and thread to top it off. I added the greeting from the stamp set onto Crumb Cake and scored and cut it like a banner.
The Christmas catalog is just around the corner. Why not give this Christmas card a try?
See you soon.
