This Timeless Tropical bundle is the first set I had to have since becoming a Stampin’ Up demonstrator (again). The paper is unbelievable. I decided to make two cards that I know I could use. The little tote is a project that I saw Kathryn Brown create.
Here are the instructions for the tote:
Cut your DSP to 3 x 6 inches. Be aware of the print if it is a directional print.
Score the top edge at 1/4″ and the bottom at 3/4″.
For the straps, cut a piece of burlap or ribbon at 5″ (cut two).
The pineapple tag is from Timeless Tropical, the sentiment is from Rooted in Nature. Stamp the pineapple in Crumb Cake (using second generation stamping). Stamp the sentiment in a darker color.
Use the bond folder to fold on the score lines. What is great about this paper is that it is light on one side and dark on the other so when you fold the edges over, it is a perfect trim for this tote. You will glue the seam together to create the tote and then close the bottom. Use the Classic Label Punch to close the bottom of the tote.
I would adhere the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets to the back of the paper that you want to use on the bottom to seal the tote. I used the flower die in the Tropical Oasis dies to create the flower and added a sparkle of a rhinestone jewel to finish it off.
To add a little spark to the card, I added a panel and also the back layer of the sentiment with some brushed gold paper from my stash. The leaves on the thank you card were brushed with Versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder and then popped up on top of some linen thread.
Here is another card using this amazing paper, stamp and die set.
I hope these projects inspire you. I know I will be creating more. If you don’t have a Stampin’ Up demonstrator, I’d love to earn your business. Below are all of the items that I used on these projects. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks for stopping by.
