Spring Time Jar of Flowers

July 19, 2020 Leave a Comment

Today I wanted to create a Spring card with the Jar of Flowers Bundle.  This card shows a few changes compared to the previous cards I created with this set.  On this card I did one with the dome and one without. I wanted to show both alternatives and how fun the card is either way.

Here is the same card using the Jar of Flowers Dome.

I always like creating a matching envelope and decorate the inside.

Matching Envelope

Tips and Tricks:

The brick was done with the Brick and Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.  Ink up the side where the grout is the “valley” of the embossed image.  Make sure you use a light touch so that you only ink the lines and a few of the bricks to look realistic.  Lay your paper on the uninked side and then close the ink side down.  This helps the paper stay still and not move while touching the ink side.  This panel is cut at 5.25 x 2.5″.  I chose the lighter wood textured paper from the In Good Taste DSP for the table top image, which is 5.25″ x 1.5″.  The Coastal Cabana panel is 5-3/8 x 4-1/8″.

With the label punch, I punched one image with the sentiment on Whisper White cardstock and one with Coastal Cabana.  I cut the Coastal Cabana piece in half and added it to the top and bottom.  This is a fantastic punch to do this with because it had a flat edge on the right and left.

I colored the flower image with Stampin’ Blends.  I can’t say it enough, I love the blends!  Add the acetate or a Jar of Flowers Dome and adhesive strips to create a shaker card.  Don’t forget to add the fun Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to add that extra sparkle and it ties the gold embossing powder in with the dots.

The video on my blog shows how I created the card with the dome.  I hope you give it a try.

I hope you give this card a try.
